Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - 2 : Colombo, Sri Lanka
On arrival in Colombo you will be warmly greeted and transferred to The Wallawwa, where you will be spending a night. Nestled amidst a 2-acre coconut estate and lush tropical gardens, this lovely boutique hotel is situated just 15 minutes from the Bandaranaike International Airport and is a great place to relax after a long flight.

Days 2 - 4 : Sigiriya, Sri Lanka
Experience the legend of King Kasyapa with an insightful guided visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Sri Lanka's most impresive UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the medieval capital of Polonnaruwa and in the afternoon experience the "elephant gathering" in Mineriya National Park. Stay in the beautifully picturesque Vil Uyana, which is very natural in style with lovely chalets.

Days 4 - 6 : Kandy, Sri Lanka
Discover magnificent ancient cave temples of Dambulla before heading to Kandy, the spiritual heart of Sri Lanka. Explore the Royal Botanical Gardens, get lost in Kandy's streets and markets and join the pilgrims as they worship the tooth relic of Buddha at the sacred Temple of the Tooth. Spend your nights in Kandy at the elegant and comfortable Kandy House, a great base to explore the area.

Days 6 - 8 : Hill Country, Sri Lanka
Catch the train to the central highlands of Sri Lanka and then in the afternoon enjoy a hike around the nearby plantations. Take a tuk tuk to one of the oldest tea factories in Sri Lanka to learn about the tea making process. Stay at Mas Villa, a gorgeous 350 year old property set over the stunning Kothmale Reservoir and jungle clad mountains.

Days 8 - 10 : Galle, Sri Lanka
Journey through the hills to the palm fringed coastline of Galle, Sri Lanka's jewel of the south. Get lost within the ramparts of the 17th century Galle Fort, the largest living fort in Asia. Go kayaking, explore fascinating local villages by bike or spend the afternoon on the beach. Enjoy staying at the charming and elegant Fort Printers which is ideally located within the fort.

Days 10 - 13 : Near Galle, Sri Lanka
After time in Galle, head north to spend a few days on the beach. Simply relax with a good book and enjoy the sunshine or if you want to explore the local area you could visit a turtle conservation centre or spend the afternoon visiting Lunuganga, the late Geoffrey Bawa's house and gardens. Aditya is located on a great stretch of golden beach, the rooms are quirky and spacious and the food is delicious. It is the perfect place to spend your last few nights in Sri Lanka.
